Because we sailed before school was out for the summer, we saw many young couples, honeymooners, parents with preschool-age kids (and younger) as well as a lot of older adults. Even after a full day of action, passengers can keep going for hours after the sun sets. On the final evening, my partner and I decided to watch the sunset while relaxing in the Serenity adults-only area. There are only 3 decks with less than 10 cabins on either side (port or starboard side) that have balconies. Our room was on Deck 5 port side, so you do get quite a nice view of the water and the port. The balconies come with a table and two chairs, so you are free to move around everywhere on the balcony. There are not a lot of itinerary variations available on the Elation. If you’re keen to try the ship or a new port out, then why not?

There weren't any available in the adults-only Serenity area, either, which we also felt was too small to handle the ship's capacity comfortably. We went to the hot tubs on embarkation day as we sailed from Jacksonville and were able to find seats. After visiting on the first sea day, we didn't bother to go back. In fact, I was impressed by how large my standard interior cabin was. It was a comfortable place to return to each evening, though, there were certainly some parts that could be improved upon, namely the bathroom. The mini-fridge was also more of just a place to store our water bottles, rather than keep anything cool.
